Frequently asked questions
Everything about verified-revenue listings, privacy, and sponsorship.
What is AppOrbit?
AppOrbit is a directory of indie apps ranked by real, verified monthly revenue, with no vanity screenshots or self-reported numbers. Founders connect their RevenueCat account so the MRR you see is pulled straight from their billing.
How is the revenue verified?
Listings connect through RevenueCat. We read the app's live metrics server-side using the founder's own key, so the MRR, active subscriptions and revenue trend shown on a listing come directly from the payment data, not a manual entry.
Is my API key safe?
Yes. Secrets are encrypted at rest and only ever used server-side to fetch your metrics. They are never exposed to the browser, logged, or returned in any response. The public site can't read them.
What does it cost to list my app?
Listing is free. Add your app, connect RevenueCat, and you're on the board.
Can I stay anonymous?
Yes. Alien Mode hides you as the founder (you show up as an anonymous 👽 alien) while your app stays visible. UFO Mode hides the app's identity (name, icon and links) while still showing the verified numbers. You can combine both.
How do I edit or remove my listing?
Open “My launches” from the nav on the same browser you listed from. From there you can edit details, mark an app for sale, or unlist it.
How does sponsoring AppOrbit work?
Sponsor slots put your logo in the rail alongside the leaderboard. After checkout you drop in your brand assets and the slot goes live instantly, with no review wait. Manage it and see how many people tapped through anytime from “My ads”.
What are the taps on my sponsor slot?
Every click on your sponsor link is tracked and shown in “My ads” as a running total plus a daily chart, so you can see exactly how much traffic the slot is sending you.
